Big Data in the Cloud More Cost-Effective

JAKARTA - There were some interesting things that can not be denied of Information Technology, one of which is the data explosion. Therefore, the current that must be considered is how to utilize IT user data or big data correctly.

One solution is to take advantage of cloud computing solutions for storing big data. This was disclosed by President Director Fujitsu Indonesia, Achmad Sofwan at a press conference Fujitsu Day 2012 at the Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta, Tuesday (11/10/2012).

"Now we have to educate the market on big data in the cloud. Due to process big data requires a large investment, it can be a more efficient use of the cloud," said Ahmad.

According to Achmad, by putting big data in the cloud can make cost savings. "We have yet to calculate how much savings, but clearly more efficient," he said.

Meanwhile, Chief Technology & Innovation Officer of Fujitsu, Craig Baty said, talking about the big data will not be separated from social media, one of which is Facebook. "Technology is changing rapidly, but now that also must be considered is how to use technology. Example, talk about big data, then there is a social media such as Facebook, which certainly has a lot of data," he said.

"So it is with us. Everything we do or device connected to the internet, then there is also no data," he concluded.
