CALIFORNIA - One of the founders of Twitter, Jack Dorsey, responding to reports of responsibilities on Twitter since he returned to the company in March 2011.
Quoted from Mashable, Friday (12/10/2012), the report published in the profile Twitter CEO, Dick Costolo, in the New York Times. The report said that Dorsey's role has been reduced after co-workers complained of difficulty for the work, and because he often changed his mind about the direction of the product. New York Times also reported, although Dorsey is still involved in major strategic decisions as chief executive, but not one who reports directly to him.
Responding to reports that discredit him, Dorsey also shed light on the status on Twitter. In a note published on Tumblr, Dorsey explained that when he returned to Twitter, he would only take the role of interim operations, which is why nobody who report directly to him.
Dorsey also said he now spends most of his time on his start-up the other, the mobile payment system, Square, then come to Twitter only on Tuesday afternoon. "There's a profile in the New York Times about the Twitter CEO, Dick Costolo, who mentioned my work in the company. That's actually not a general rule, so I wanted to clarify a few points, "wrote Dorsey.
Dorsey explained, in the spring of 2011, Costolo asked to take an operational role overseeing product design, and brand. "We moved all of my report below (Costolo) in January this year after a strong leadership. This allows me to focus on improving our brand and logo, work more with Dick (Costolo) and the team, so I have more time as CEO at Square. So I can go to Twitter on Tuesday afternoon to run an operational role while, "he continued.
According to him, Twitter is not to talk about it openly because the information is not ignored by Twitter users every day. Unfortunately, Dorsey did not respond to other claims stating his departure from Twitter in 2008 related to its inability to prevent the service from interference that often occurs during long hours.
