The "hole" in the Google Chrome Valued $ 500 Million

The security system Google Chrome successfully penetrated by a group of hackers (hackers) who call themselves as Pinkie Pie.

However, no charges were obtained by Pinkie Pie because such action. Apparently, they were given cash instead of 60,000 dollars by Google. Why?

Apparently, Pinkie Pie is one of the participants of the contest "Pwnium" held by Google at the Hack in the Box conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In this Pwnium event, I asked the hackers to find all the vulnerabilities that exist in Chrome.

Quoted from Venture Beat, I assess the discovery made by Pinkie Pie as a matter of "critical" and called it "a beautiful work".

However, Google will not share information about any vulnerabilities found in Pwnium event, at least until the majority of users have installed the latest patch.

In the event Pwnium this time, it was only Pinkie Pie who won prizes from Google. Until the last second of this competition, there is no other hackers that get results "work".

This is the second time for Google to hold the event Pwnium. For the first time the event was held in March this year at the CanSecWest conference, Vancouver.

In the event that first Pwnium, apparently Pinkie Pie also helped win a prize from Google. Pinkie Pie also won a prize in an amount equal to the competition this time.

If the participants were able to find security holes overall, participants will be given a prize of 60,000 U.S. dollars, as it has been obtained by Pinkie Pie.

If participants were able to find only a small part of the overall security gaps that exist, Google is only a cash award of 10,000 U.S. dollars. In total, Google is preparing a cash amount of 2 million dollars for this competition.
