Ericsson Radio Dot System, Strengthens 3G Indoor Coverage

JAKARTA - technology company , Ericsson announced the mini mobile radio devices , Ericsson Radio Dot System . This device serves to strengthen the 3G and LTE network coverage indoors.

Intended for installation in large buildings , Dot Radio System is providing high -quality access to mobile broadband . Ericsson Radio Systems Dot is made with a mini and compact design , and offers installation flexibility .

The device weighs 300 grams which is the result of research and development for two years , where there are 14 patents in it . This solution introduces a revolutionary antenna element , or " dot " , which gives access to mobile broadband .

Kursten Leins , Head of Strategic Growth Ericsson South East Asia and Oceania today in a teleconference said , this device provides an increase in coverage, especially indoor coverage . Therefore , the need for information , access high mobile broadband becomes the main thing that must be met .

Hardyana Syntawati , VP Marketing and Communications Ericsson Indonesia said , getting to the front , then the higher data consumption , high consumption of video . " The capacity to consider , " said Hardyana .

He said , this device be able to cover all the frequencies Wideband CDMA and LTE . 70 percent of mobile broadband is consumed as an indoor person . There should be an indoor cover solution , " he explained .

He explains , Radio Dot System requires the LAN cable , which is connected to the IRU ( Indoor Unit Radio ) . Thus , Radio Dot System that can be installed in the room , can emit a 3G or LTE network capacity with much stronger .

Devices for enterprise segmentation is reportedly available in 2014 . The cost for the installation of this solution , according to Kursten Leins will depend on the configuration required on the building by the company .

Ericsson Indonesia hope this solution can get a positive response by the telecom operators in the country .

In Indonesia , the solution in the building of Ericsson Radio Dot System comes as a response to the challenge for operators to improve their network performance , mainly to provide customer satisfaction in mobile access in dense indoor .
