Google Causes Adult Present Makin Forgetful
Internet may be one of the most remarkable discoveries in human history . But the dark side , the Internet is also claimed to make modern humans tend to be more forgetful than previous generations .
Why ? Because people live open Internet , either from your phone , tablet or computer , to find all the answers to these questions in the past . One of the things that most can ' blame ' for this condition is the number one search site discovery , namely Google , which can provide answers to any questions posed .
This was concluded after trying a new survey of 2,000 adult respondents dig recollection of dates of important events that happen in the world .
The survey found that very few respondents could still remember in what year did Princess Diana died , even though it had happened in 1997 . Noted also less than one-third of respondents knew when the Berlin Wall runuh and only 50 percent of respondents who actually knows when humans first set foot on the moon .
Are no less staggering , four out of 10 respondents said they did not know anything when the ongoing 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center ( WTC ) . Once investigated , a survey conducted by Grant 's Whisky UK was also found 87 percent of respondents showed ' high dependency ' on the internet where they do not need to fuss or bother to remember the many because they can just Google it .
But unexpectedly , the survey respondents came from all over the UK revealed that the dates most often they are remembered at the time of World War I and World War II , as well as the British victory in the 1966 World Cup .
" The dates given are often focused on someone during school will likely continue to persist in the memory . 's Just ' art ' remember the date has worn off today and it looks more and here we are even more trouble maintaining memory , " said the spokesman of Grant 's Whisky as reported by the Daily mail , Thursday ( 10/03/2013 ) .
" Especially on the dates of the events that happened later . Because respondents four times remember much about the Battle of Hastings in the year 1066, rather than when the invasion of Iraq , " he added .
From there, the researchers admit though the Internet is a tremendous source of information and improve the quality of life of modern man , in fact, internet can also change the traditional way that humans do to remember and process things, especially when compared with the older generation .
" Maybe the ability to know the date of the event in the past is not so crucial , the important thing is how to keep the humans in the story behind the incident is not lost in the time and we never stop to appreciate what has gone before , " added the spokesman .
