JAKARTA - Kevin Packingham , Chief Product Officer of Samsung Mobile Division resigned . Departure of Kevin in the spotlight , given the very important position in introducing a number of enhancements in the popular Galaxy line .
Kevin 's departure is quite mysterious . The reason he resigned just announced internally . Kevin refused to comment . Samsung spokesman who questioned also declined to give details .
" Kevin Packingham is leaving Samsung Mobile . We thank Kevin for all his contribution and wish him success in the future , " said a spokesman for Samsung Ashley Wimberly , as quoted by AFP on Saturday ( 10/05/2013 ) .
Kevin roles arguably significant for Samsung . More than two years at Samsung Mobile , in Dallas , he was fully involved in the introduction of the Galaxy S III globally and some other Galaxy series .
As is known , this handset to be the first serious competitor to the iPhone for business sales .
The man who had been a Product Executive Sprint also intervened in the negotiation that allows Samsung smartphone released on all major carriers in the United States . Obviously , this role helped Samsung to quickly gain market share .
In an interview last month , Kevin says Samsung can get strong support from telecom operators to take a different approach from other handset makers .
