In the competitive photo-sharing service, Flickr as one of the old players continue to improve. More recently, Yahoo as the owner flickr, make acquisitions at startup which has image recognition technology.
The startup named LookFlow which was founded in 2009. As part of this acquisition, the startup 5 technicians will join the team in Flickr.
"We have acquired LookFlow, image recognition company," said a spokesman for Yahoo, as quoted from TheNextWeb, Thursday (10/24/2013).
LookFlow itself is very excited to purchase it. For them, Flickr is the largest photo collection place.
There is no information about how the value of the purchase. Action of this acquisition is the umpteenth time that the action is done under the leadership of Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer. Previously, Yahoo also annexed Tumblr is worth USD 1.1 billion.
