Other Android manufacturers also cheated "Benchmark"
Lately , Samsung crowded smartphone rumored to manipulate the benchmark results in order to obtain a higher score than it should .
" Subterfuge " is done through the manufacturer hardware optimization is performed automatically bergitu phones running the benchmark , but does not apply to other kinds of applications in everyday use .
Well, about rigging the benchmark monopoly was not only the Korean manufacturer , but also made some other Android device manufacturers .
This was revealed in a report that examined 13 Anandtech Android devices to see if there is an anomaly in the testing performance of the benchmark applications . The result , Asus ( Padfone Infinity ) , HTC ( One , One Mini ) , and LG ( G2 ) also caught cheating in popular applications sort AnTuTu benchmark and 3D Mark . ( see table below )
Three other Android manufacturers , namely Motorola ( RAZR i , Moto X ) , Google ( Nexus 4 , Nexus 7 ) and Nvidia ( Shield ) did not record final score optimization to enhance the performance in software testing .
Funny thing is , each manufacturer is known not to apply optimization deceptive benchmark title for all the testing program , but only a few.
Headlines options also vary , depending on the builder in question . There are mengkibuli Vellamo and Geekbench , some are not .
In this case , the Samsung looks to be the most industrious . Of the seven benchmark application , six of which are rigged by the Galaxy Note 3 .
Be trusted ?
Benchmark subterfuge actually not new at all . PC World has often enlivened by such incidents .
Up - to - developer Futuremark 3D Mark benchmark application - firmly put the ban to prevent hardware manufacturers cheat by driving up the value .
Disturbingly , mobile devices now actually looks very powerful without having to cheat the benchmark though . Anandtech noted that the increase in performance due to optimization is actually fairly small , only about 5 percent for the CPU score and below 10 percent for the GPU score .
In the case of the Galaxy Note 3 which was later revealed , ArsTechnica explains that these devices are inherently faster than its competitors in the benchmark , despite running in a state of " normal " .
The figures in the benchmark scores are intended to give a fair comparison of performance between devices . When tested , the device must be in accordance with the conditions of everyday circumstances , without optimization so that the results represent the actual conditions .
If you have this , if the numbers eventually be trusted ?
